I started teaching in 1999. For almost 14 years, teaching has been the one passion in my life. I have found myself teaching at six different schools including Public, Charter, Private, Urban, & Rural schools. This experience has given me a unique view on discipline and education. My experience in the education field has helped craft the teacher I am today, including developing strategies to motivate all types of learners. Additionally, a positive attitude towards teaching has augmented my resolve to help students succeed in school and life. Seeing some of my former students grow into successful members of society gives my life purpose. Tutoring is something incredibly important in education. The educational system works best when the parents, teachers, and administration work together. As a history teacher for over 12 years, I prided myself in a respectful relationship with both my students and the parents, calling home for positive as well as for corrective purposes. This led to a superior level of classroom management at my positions. I know I would carry this experience and a positive attitude over into a tutoring position.
